Samsung has launched another new flagship Galaxy S7 which is a sequel of Samsung’s last year released of Galaxy S6. On the other side, Apple has recently launched its new device iPhone SE. It is considered as low price apple phone but with good specs. Let’s have a brief comparison of Samsung Galaxy S7 and iPhone SE.
Samsung Galaxy S7 vs iPhone SE
Size & Weight: Galaxy S7 is 19 percent wider and 15 percent taller than iPhone SE. Similarly, S7 is 26 percent heavier than iPhone SE. S7 is 152g in weight while iPhone SE is 113g.
Screen Size: Galaxy S7 is 63 percent bigger than iPhone SE in screen size. S7 display size is 5.1 inch and iPhone SE has 4 inch which is lower than today’s smartphones.
Color: Galaxy S7 is available in three colors (Black, Silver and Gold). On the other hand, iPhone SE has four colors (Silver, Gold, Rose Gold, and Space Gray).
Display Type & Resolution: Galaxy S7 has AMOLED display and 2560 x 1440 resolution whereas iPhone SE has IPS display with the resolution of 1136 x 640.
Always-ON Display: Galaxy S7 has a feature called ‘Always-on Display’. There is no need to press any buttons or even touch your phone to show info like time, date and notifications. But iPhone SE does not have this feature.
Camera: Both devices have same rear camera of 12MP. But there is a difference in front camera, S7 has 5MP front while iPhone SE has 1.2MP.
Battery: Galaxy S7 has 3000mAh battery while iPhone SE contains 1642mAh battery. But if we compare the resolutions of both devices then this seems a minor difference of battery life. S7 supports fast and wireless charging but Apple still need to upgrade their iPhones to these features.
Processor: Galaxy S7 featured Snapdragon 820 Quad Core 2.15GHz processor while iPhone SE has A9 Dual Core 1.28GHz processor.
RAM: Galaxy S7 has a twice of iPhone’s RAM capacity. iPhone SE has 2GB RAM whereas S7 has 4GB RAM.
Storage: Galaxy S7 is available in two storage capacities (32GB and 64GB). It also supports MicroSD card up to 200GB of storage. IPhone SE is also available in two storage capacities (16GB and 64GB) but it does not support MicroSD card.
Water Resistance: Samsung brought back another good feature, S7 has IP68 water resistance but iPhone SE has a lack of this feature.
Fingerprint Sensor: Both devices have fingerprint sensors.
Release Date & Price: Both phones have launched in March, 2016. Galaxy S7 has a starting price of $670 approx. while iPhone SE has $399 price.
